Places I'd love to visit (real or make-believe)

JIS. MOUNT OLYMPUS

A place where all the great gods and goddesses live. Wouldn't it be so great to see Zeus face to face, or to just even grace upon the beauty of Venus, the goddess of love? It would be so awesome to be standing alongside fellow Olympians, and who knows? I may even get the chance to see the oh-so-hunky Hercules? :)

NUEVE. HOLLYWOOD

Shopping districts, signature clothes, and rare celebrity sightings.
Those are the kinds of things you'd be able to experience in the city of the stars.
Another must-see in Hollywood is the Universal Studios, the place where they fake earthquakes and other disasters that we see in blockbuster hollywood movies. And wouldn't it be so cool to see Steven Spielberg directing on the spot?

OTSO. STRATFORD-UPON-AVON

I've always admired Shakespeare and his works.
And in fact, I even learned to watch films about him whose words I don't even understand,
just because the language was set in Old English. (Shakespeare in Love) I'd really, really love to visit his home town, where he found inspiration to write his noble works. And maybe, just maybe. I'd even pick up something that might lead me to becoming the next him. :)))

SIYETE. THE GREAT BARRIER REEF

The Great Barrier Reef is considered as the longest reef in the world, which is found in Australia. It has a wide variety of ocean biodiversity that ignites the senses and puts a stopper to our thirst for natural beauty. Ooh, now that's what I'm talking about. Thanks for helping on my vocab, Shakespeare. :)))

SAIS. ATLANTIS, THE LOST EMPIRE

Have you watched the movie, Atlantis? It's about a group of scientists who went on a dangerous journey to find the lost city. But along the way, they encounter a lot of obstacles which prevented them from reaching their destination. I'd love to experience the thrill of getting on a submarine and going down (waaaay down) under to find a legendary place everyone's been researching about for years. Although there were reports that it was found near Africa. I'm just not sure if it's real or just a fancy rumor.

CINCO. HOGWARTS
SCHOOL OF WITCHCRAFT AND WIZARDRY

At Hogwarts, everything is possible with just a simple Swish and Flick. I'd love to study here too, where your professors are not just mere people, but BEINGS who look like they want to take the life out of you if ever you misbehave. And once I discover the ins and outs of magic,
I could just learn to shout "LUMOS!" and all the lights in the house would magically disappear.

QUATRO. VENICE

Famous for their Gondola rides, this beautiful city has got it all - shopping districts, first-class malls, and a very romantic environment, perfect for lovers who wants to have time for their own. As an added bonus, the gondolas also come with their "drivers" who can also sing a beautiful Italian song just for you. But as for me, I'd rather come single-handedly -
to have my ME time, just to think and to unwind and be ALONE. But who am I kidding? Hey, who ever wants to walk solo in a beautiful city?!

TRES. ROME

Ah, Rome. I consider it as the most historical city, so far. I've been wanting to visit Rome ever since I saw the movie, Lizzie McGuire: The Movie. And just like them, I also want to dip my toes in the pool of knowledge at La Citta Eterna (The eternal city). But the Fountain of Trevi tops my list on must-see spots in Rome. It's like a huge pond wherein you can toss a coin and wish for anything. Oh, I've got a loooong list of things I wish for. So I might as well pack a lot of coins. Haha. :))

DOS. PARIS, FRANCE

Paris, France, the city of lights and probably the most romantic city on earth. I'd love to experience living the parisian life - morning coffee breaks, taking long, night strolls around the tower, and gazing at the magnificent Eiffel Tower for like, all day. Nah, I was just kidding about the 'all day' part. But hey, who doesn't admire the Tower anyway? It's so...so....so... See? I can't even find the right words to describe It.

UNO. NEVERLAND

I've always loved Wendy and her stories about Peter Pan, Tinkerbell, the Lost Boys, and all their other adventures, back when I was still a child. I even remember telling myself that when I get a little older, I will come and visit the second star to the right. But I guess I'm too old for this now. :> But I still do believe in fairies, though.

Someday, I'll visit these places. (the real ones, of course!)
So watch out, coz i'm coming soon! :)

Have you found your prince?

♥ ♥ ♥ The Perfect Man ♥ ♥ ♥

Every girl deserves someone.

The one that will treat you right as well as others. The one that will change for you to just be with you. The one that searches for you with his heart and knows where you are even if you're in the middle of a sea of people. The one that can be trusted alone with a room full of many other beautiful ladies. The one that won’t cheat on you cause he knows he’s got the best that he can have.

Someone who's willing to be your best friend and your lover. Someone that doesn’t mind calling early in the morning to say good morning and late at night to say good night, and maybe even sing you a happy morning song and tell you a good night story or talk to you until you fall asleep.

That kind of love that will do anything for you, even if it’s just to buy your favorite candy. The kind that will never get tired walking you to your classes and fetching you afterwards. The kind that will defend and fight for you even if he'll risk his own life. The kind that won’t ditch you for his friends and that won’t leave you standing alone when you need him the most.

The kind that isn’t afraid to smile to his friends every time you’re around and tell them,“She’s the one.” Someone who appreciates you for the things you do for him, even if they’re small gestures. Someone that actually thanks you for the little love notes you leave him and doesn't think of it as baduy. Someone who's willing to wait for you when you’re falling behind. The kind who's willing to hold an umbrella for you under the rain. The kind that will write romantic poems for you and recite it aloud like nobody's looking.

That one person that will actually open the door for you, take you out on dates once in a while and buy you flowers cause it’s a Wednesday. The one that always remembers important dates for you and your family and really makes an effort to show that he cares, like your mom's birthday or your brother's basketball try-outs.

Someone that stays on the phone with you even if you're not saying anything. Someone who knows what you wanted to say even though you're not uttering a single word. The kind who's willing to stay up until 12:00 am to greet you a lively "Happy Birthday!" The kind who's willing to watch heart-fluttering, slightly-corny, and tear-jerking romantic flicks with you. The kind who laughs at your "funny" jokes and is not afraid to get silly with you.

The kind that notices your hair when you just got it cut or done beautifully for him. Someone that reminds you how much he loves you and that he’s happy being with you, in case you forget. That one person that treats you like a real princess and not act like he couldn't care less. The kind that kisses your forehead when you're fast asleep. The kind that hugs you tight and never want to let go. The kind that tells you, "You can do it. I know you can." even if you feel like giving up. The one that lets you cry on his shoulder when you're bursting in tears. The kind that just loves you for who you are and not force you to be someone else you're not. And the kind that will go through heaven and hell just to be with you.

But most of all, the one that tells you

"I LOVE YOU"

and mean it more than you can ever understand.

That kind of man, that’s the kind you keep.

10 Moments you don't want to miss

1. PROM

Ah, the PROM. It is indeed one of the highlights of being in High School. For one night, girls can be princesses. Wearing the best dress and dancing the night away with their own princes. But most especially, the prom is one night wherein you see the girls you've known since elementary turn into the real goddesses of beauty that they truly are.

2. GRADUATION

The graduation is the saddest, and yet the most rewarding moment of being in High School. You won't feel any pride greater than being clad in your toga and your hat, and having your tassel to the right. It is with great honor that you march towards your diploma with a huge smile on your face that says, "I did it."

3. DEBUT

Turning 18 is one of the best events that a girl could really look forward to. Just imagine the fun of designing your very own dress, planning your very own party, deciding on your party's theme, and inviting the most special people you've met on your entire life. (Not to mention choosing your escort for the night.) Just thinking about it makes me wanna turn 18 in an instant. :)

4. FIRST DATE

Planning on what to wear, what to do and what not to do usually boggles the female mind about first dates. We never really want to look like a nervous-wreck in front of our dates, that's why we always see to it that we look our best and act properly. But relax, girls, let's just be our selves, and I know know that our confident and natural self will come shining through.

5. FIRST BIG-TICKET PURCHASE

It's natural for a girl to purchase something on impulse whenever she feels like it, clothes, shoes, accessories. But it's a definite achievement for anybody to purchase something really big, like you still have to save for it. Like maybe, a mini netbook or a galaxy pad. It's a very rewarding feeling when you're using something that you know you really sacrificed and worked hard for.

6. LEARNING HOW TO DRIVE

It's always a big misconception that girls are poor drivers. Men always say that girls can't drive because they can't handle the situation well. Well they are wrong about that. Girls can be good drivers too, you know. Learning how to drive is a good sign of discipline. Being in the front seat is like showing that you can handle responsibility enough and that you're finally taking charge.

7. WEDDING DAY

I don't know if it's true or not, but a girl's wedding day is the most anticipated day of one's life. Nothing beats the happiness felt by someone who's wearing a beautiful wedding dress, holding a pretty bouquet of flowers, and hearing the church bells ring. And hopefully, you marry the man of your dreams and also, may it be for keeps.

8. GETTING ON STAGE

Whether you're singing a song, dancing to the beat, or acting your heart out, it's always best when you do it on stage. Although its very nerve-wrecking standing in front of a huge crowd, knowing that you believe in yourself and your God-given talent, you can surely be able to conquer your fear, give your best shot, and be successful in every way. So that once you get off that stage, you'll surely be able to say, "I'm glad I did it."

9. ENTERING COLLEGE

Being in college is another phase of one's life. Here, you can be able to meet all sorts of people from all walks of life. It is also a great achievement when you are able to enter your dream university, knowing that you passed their standards after taking that frightful and sleepless-nights kind of exam. Although High School will always be the best, College will not be left-out either.

10. FIRST ROADTRIP APART FROM THE FAMILY

You've always been with your family for every summer vacation, and you always depend on them to bring the things that you might need, like food, extra clothes, sunblock, etc. But now that you're old enough to travel, why not take full responsibility of your self and go to a roadtrip only with your friends? I'm sure that it'll be twice the fun! :)

So come on and look forward to this fun and crazy moments. Coz if you don't, you'll surely be missing half of your life. :)))

Songs that inspire me :)

I LOVE MUSIC! Although I can't play any musical instrument (except maybe for the flute, but only during the carol festivals. hahahaha.), I still love listening to it, and I believe I could sing, but only because my friends say so. I love it when a song describes exactly how I feel. Every emotion, every feeling, every moment, there's always a song for it. And for my special moments, these are the songs that define who I am.

MY TOP 10 MOST MEMORABLE SONGS:

10. TEARDROPS ON MY GUITAR
by Taylor Swift

This song describes exactly what young love is all about.
It talks about the pain and risk of falling in love
and not being loved in return. It explains how it feels
when you commit the biggest friendship mistake:
Falling in love with your best friend that you never planned
to fall for from the start.

9. ALWAYS BE MY BABY
by David Cook

My prom partner kept singing this while we were slowing dancing
to the beat of this tune. I don't really have any special feelings
for this guy, but he made the evening extra special
coz I felt like he was singing for me.

8. FIRST DANCE
by Justin Bieber

This was the very first song that Franzly Alfaro sang decently.
We, along with Alfea Bermido, felt like singing coaches
while we were coaching her with the right tune.
It was a relief (and almost an achievement!) when Franzly
got her vocal chords uptight. :)

7. BABY
by Justin Bieber

This song was the reason why I had my Patella dislocated.
The hell did I still continue to sing this after that event!
Baby broke my bone, literally.

by Justin Bieber

My Justin Bieber syndrome started when I first heard this song.
I thought, "hey, that song is cute. Yeah, and so is the singer. ;)"
Then after that, I began to memorize song after song.
And the rest, as they say, is history.

5. GIFT OF A FRIEND
by Demi Lovato

The ultimate theme song of friendship, Gift of a Friend says exactly
who your true friends are. And it stands by its lyrics,
"The world comes to life, and everything's bright.
From beginning to end, when you have a friend
by your side."

4. NEVER ALONE
by Lady Antebellum

This was the song I cried to on my last day as a high school student.
When the piano started playing and the first few lines were sang,
I cried a river just remembering all that has been in the last four years.
Whenever I hear this song, one word comes to my mind:
GOODBYE. :(

3. CRAZIER and PRAY
by Taylor Swift and Justin Bieber

I nearly sang Crazier on my Junior year, along with Anna and Alfea.
I don't know if its a good thing that we backed out,
but it was a relief that we weren't included in the show anymore.
We felt like the responsibility was on our shoulders
to make the show look better.

But in Senior Year, I finally had the courage to sing Pray on stage.
Seriously, I had jitters and goosebumps everywhere.
But I was very thankful that it turned out pretty good.
I guess it's one of my most precious moments in high school. :)

2. LOVE THE WAY YOU LIE
by Eminem ft. Rihanna

I don't know why it's even included here. Haha.
No, just kidding. :) I think it's because this is the longest
song I've ever memorized. :))
And for someone who has too much to study and to prepare for,
I still had the chance to keep in mind a song-rap composition.
Yipee. :))

1. NO ORDINARY LOVE
by Jennifer Love Hewitt

I loved this song ever since forever.
This is the original version, the one where MYMP sang it is just a cover.
I love this coz it's a Hopeless Romantic song which talks about
Happily Ever Afters and Just being happy and contented with the one you love.
I dream of that too, someday. :))))

This is me. Behind the laughter, behind the tears, behind the music.
Remember: Always have a song in your lips. <3

ONE BIG BLOCK - 1NUR4

UST Nursing Block 4. :)

On the eve of the first day of classes at UST, I kept wondering what my college life would be like. A part of me was excited, since I will be making new friends now. While the other half of me was scared. It was like, "Will they be nice to me? Are they welcoming? Are there bullies?" It was a relief when I found out the next day. Everyone was so nice. All my inhibitions paid off when I saw them smiling and saying "Hello." I guess this might be the start of a very good friendship. And I hope it doesn't fade when we rearrange next year.
